“The office of President will never fall to the lot of any man who is not in an eminent degree endowed with the requisite qualifications” — Alexander Hamilton, The Federalist Papers : No. 68

PRESS RELEASE: Hamilton Defenders complaint against Colorado

Hamilton Defender member and founder, Jason Wesoky, is representing two members of Colorado’s Electoral College in a lawsuit against the state of Colorado.  An unconstitutional law in Colorado forces their electors to vote for whomever won the popular vote.   If not struck down, it will likely result in the electors being removed, fined, or thrown in jail, simply for doing their constitutional duty.

These are the primary documents filed in the case to challenge the constitutionality of Colorado’s laws that bind Presidential Electors:

Complaint for Declaratory and Injunctive Relief

Affidavit in Support Of Complaint

Motion for Temporary Restraining Order

The Hamilton Defenders are helping electors across the country fight similar unconstitutional laws. They are protecting Alexander Hamilton’s purpose to prevent a demagogue controlled by foreign interests from being elected to high office.

Call (not email) your Senators and Congressmen/women to support this request from the electors before they vote next week!
